The project site lies between two loud motorways connecting Vienna with its western outskirts. To the present day only one single bike lane has been built as the river bank consists of a very narrow green stripe.

The premise for the park design was therefore to reflect firstly on the necessary urban design measures to enable a sensitive location and dimensioning. The proposal calls for articulated action on the level of the transportation infrastructure: reduce number of lanes for cars whilst increasing number of public trains.
